This drawing is the second in a series of my ‘cross-carpet pages’ (a term used to describe the pages of abstract decoration in medieval gospel texts), I think of these cross-carpet pages as being a meditation aid for the artist and potentially the viewer.

The ink used in this drawing is a home-made oak gall ink.
